Ternura

Little Waves is a woman owned roaster. In this project they're inspired by inner child magic, Ternura (meaning tenderness in Spanish), is a blend from Mexico and Colombia that produces tasting notes like strawberry jam, chocolate cake, and waffle cone. Offering juicy stone fruit acidity, this roast starts slightly astringent and then mellow out as cooled. We also tasted strawberry, milk chocolate, roasted almonds, and plum.

Little Waves is a Latina-led, women-forward coffee company located in Durham, NC. Independently owned and operated, the team at Little Wave Coffee are dedicated to perfecting craft coffee and honoring culture, community, and madre tierra (Mother Earth). Little Waves was named 2022 Micro Roaster of the Year.
